Default Miami Embarkation Question

My wife and I will be arriving around 10am Sunday (4/22) for the Victory cruise. Can anyone provide info. on how long you have to stay at the Miami airport before going to the ship?

Thanks

Rich

Karen:

Do you know if the transportation that Carnival provides from the airport is available @ 10am or do you have to wait until 11:30am/12:00pm?

Thanks again...

Carnival doesn't start the transfers until 12 noon...Then it's a zoo. Jump in a Cab and take it to the port as soon as you arrive. The cost is only $18.00.

Hope this helps.

Agreed, take a cab. The port is only 5 miles or so away.

I didn't realize the transfer would be a zoo (it was very quick and easy with RCCL). Since transfers are included with our airfare and if we opt to take the cab will Carnival still take care of our luggage without us having to touch it at the airport?

If your doing the Ship transfer you still have to get your luggage off of the belt and then get it to the Bus. You'd be doing yourselves a huge favour by saying to heck with the Bus and grab a Cab. Plus, you'd get there early and most likely near the front of the line.

For $20 total you could take a cab to the ship and not have to wait for the bus to fill.

Why are you taking CCL's bus? costs more, wait longer, call your ta and tell them that you will pass on CCL's transport

Ok, Ok I for one am convinced that a taxi is the best bet from the airport to the ship....BUT how about the return from the ship to the airport? Is that also a better bet? Thanks in advance!!!

Yes...If you are only going back to Miami International, save yourself the frustration and jump in a cab at the port after you collect your bags. Again, otherwise be prepared to stand in line for the transfer bus.
