We just booked on the Ecstasy for a 4 day to Catalina and Ensenada. We have cruised before, but I was wondering about the ports. What excursions are worth the $$, if any. Also, has anyone ever parked at San Pedro? How early should we get down there to make sure we get a parking space? Thanks for any advice!
I have cruised out of San Pedro many times, I always get there early, prior to 11:30 so that i get a parking space that gives me a short walk to the pier once parked. Drop your bags off at the pier first the have your travel mate park the car and walk back, its really simple and quick. I did the Kayak tour on Catalina fun but strenuious. If you want something less active rent a golf cart ($60 for 2 hours?) and drive around. Enscenada go into town walk around have lunch.
Enjoy--we are taking the Exctasy 25 May.
I have never been on the Ecstasy, but I have been on the Elation several times and also on the Holiday. In our most recent cruise I got involved in the Art auctions and picked up a couple of Serographs at very good prices. There are MANY different side entertainments that you may find of interest e.g. the galley tour, a tour of the Bridge, ice carving demo, karioki, putting contest etc. Oh then there is the casino. Plus and this is the best for me there is just simply the ocean.
