Hi Darlene,
No, you don't need a passport, but they are great to travel with if you plan on any more cruises, just much easier. You will need your birth cirtificate with the raised seal and a picture drivers license.
Here is some info on getting a passport if you choose to:
Not right now you don't unless you go to Belize which requires one. All you need is a photo ID issued by a goverment body such as a DL or State ID card AND a birth certificate with a RAISED seal. Notorized copy is not acceptable. With all that said, a Passport is a wonderful thing to have as it cost less than $70 total and is good for 10 years. It is the best form of ID you can have anywhere in the world. I highly suggest that you obtain one as you never know when you may need or want one. Go to the 'links' area of this website and click on the info under the State Department on getting a passport.

Hi Darlene, I wondered the same thing 3 cruises ago. Just need a drivers license with a picture ID and a certified copy of your birth certificate which you can order online for a mere $25. We all need that anyway. You even need that for a passport. You should receive it in about 5 days after requesting it. It is quick and easy. Hope this helps. We are going to Western Carribean on Triumph in August. When are you going?
Thanks everyone! Sandibeach, we are going to the western Caribbean in September. You'll have to post all about your cruise and the excursions you went on when you return. Have a great time!
