John Heald no longer on the Triumph

I've just read that John Heald is no longer on the Triumph, does anyone know what ship he is on, or if there is any truth to this? We are on the 8/4 sailing of the Triumph and were so looking forward to seeing John in action.

Found it on Cruise Critic. Wasn't Cruise Mates just advertising a cruise with John in September. Let me know if you find anything out. We were really looking forward to seeing John in August.

I sure will post if I find out anything, I think its possible he may be just going on vacation and returning for the Sept. Cruisemates cruise. I hear a lot of good things about this cruise director, wish I was going insane, I mean on the sanity cruise too

Yes, found out John will be on vacation, but will be on the Cruisemates Triumph cruise after he returns from vacation. Guess this other CD will be filling in for him. Don't know the exact dates of his time off, but sounds like you will miss him

John is on vacation time now. I looked through some old e-mails to try and find the exact date he's due back on Triumph, but unfortunately couldn't locate them for u.

He is back some time in Aug. but I'm just not certain of the date.

U could always switch your date and join us on the CruiseMates John Heald, Test Your Sanity Cruise
That's going to be a great opportunity for all the CruiseMates to spend some one on one time with John, since he'll be hosting some activities exclusively for the CruiseMates group.

I also read this at Cruise Critic. I called Carnival twice just to see if I would get the same information twice. The first time they said he hadn't left. The second time, another person said that his contract had run out,that he was going to another ship but didn't know which one, and that Tom Goodwin has replaced him (anyone ever heard of him?). John going on vacation makes much more sense then him going to another ship right now as he is apparantly going to be there when the Cruise Mates sail this fall. I'm sailing this Saturday on the Triumph, I was dissapointed to hear that John won't be there. I'll let you know how the replacement CD turns out.

Just saw your post Kuki..I'm glad you were able to confirm that he's only on vacation..wish he had started it a week later though..

I understand John will be the cruise director on the Carnival Pride next January.

Just returned from the Triumph July 14. He announced that was his last trip on the Triumph. I spoke with another staff member who said he would be on vacation but scheduled on the inaugural sailing of the Pride next year. He was agreat. We're so glad we had the chance to meet with him.
