I'm taking the Ecstasy to Ensenada next week. Wondering if somebody could give me an evaluation of the 3 day itinerary and condition of the Ecstasy. I hear the ship is older, but has it been spruced up lately?
We recently took this 3 day cruise. The Exctasy is showing her age a bit, but she is 10 years old so one would expect that. We took my disabled mother-in-law and all had an excellent time. I consider the 3 day cruise a sprint, by the time it is over we are exhausted. Up late and up early each day. We had a cat # 12 which was in good condition-great water pressure! My wifes's mother was just accross the hall in an inside cabin which actually fit her needs well. The food was good to very good. The entertainment was very good. I thought we spent waaaaaaaay to long in Ensenada(8am to 10pm). The staff were attentive and in harmony with our needs.
Enjoy your trip.
I just returned from the 4 day trip to Catalina and Ensenada aboard Ecstacy (11th - 15th June). This was my 18th cruise aboard Carnival over last 6 years. Ecstacy is still in good shape despite her age and has recently been "spruced" up. She still has great entertainment areas including Stripes nightclub and overall the shows were very entertaining. Food was satisfactory and staff good.
Enjoy your cruise.......you will then end up like me ......a "Cruise-a-holic"!
I sailed the Ecstasy last year when it was sailing to Key West Cozumel on a 4 day cruise, so i cant say anything about your itenerary, but i kno i loved the ship! It was beautiful! i kno you will have very fun aboard the M.S. Ecstasy
