Default Carrying Garment Bags on to Ship??

Carrying Garment Bags on to ship!

On our last cruise, aboard the Paradise, we recieved our Formal
Dining clothes in such a sad state that we are considering carrying
our garment bags on board ourselves this time. Has anyone done
this? Did you have any problems getting the bags through the security
scanner opening.

Thanks

George

Hi George,
As a matter of habit I ALWAYS hand carry my formalwear onboard. This not only includes my tux etc but also my wife's gowns. Some things just shouldn't go through baggage handling <G>

We always carry all of our stuff on the ship. Suitcase and garment bags. This way there is no delay in receiving your clothes from the porters and you can unpack immediately.

You will look like idiots carrying your bags on board but 3 hours later you will be the "man" because you actually have your luggage!!!! It is a hassle to carry it on BIG TIME but it is totally worth it, so I say be miserable for 30 minutes then enjoj the rest of ypur vacation!
