We are in 6271 on the Triumph, anyone have any feedback (balcony Ok, is it loud because its above shops, nightclubs, etc.). Also, what to do for such a short time in San Juan?

Have not cruised on Triumph, but have been in San Juan for a pre and during a cruise. If you haven't seen the forts, you can walk to El Morro from the pier, its worth checking out. Also a lot of nice shops in Old San Juan as well. There is supposed to be a trolley that takes you around town, but so far I've only seen in once and the traffic there seems to never move, almost faster just walking, but you do have to walk on very narrow sidewalks and uphill, so if thats a problem, you can always grab a cab.
I did see Triumph when we were leaving from Miami on Explorer, nice looking ship, glad you have a balcony, those are the best, enjoy.
We cruised on the Triumph last week and also did the San Juan/St. Thomas/St. Croix itinerary. We were in cabin 6247 so your cabin is only seven away from where we were and we also had the balcony. We loved it!! I would never sail without a balcony again. The balcony wasn't huge ... big enough for two chairs and a small table. Since we were cruising with family in the next cabin (6251) we had the Cabin Steward open the divider so we could all sit together. It was so peaceful at night sitting outside.
Our cabin was right above the Rome Lounge which was three levels (3rd, 4th and 5th levels) and yes we could hear laughter from the shows but it didn't bother us at all. Your room is near the elevators right above the casino but I don't think it will be that noisy.
We had a great time in San Juan. We were told by the Cruise Director that it really wasn't worth taking excursions around town. We walked up to the Fort (I can't remember the name) and around town. We left the ship around 5:00 p.m. and were back on board around 8:30 p.m. It was very safe walking around and we really enjoyed it. Even our two young teens enjoyed San Juan. After we got the boys settled back on the ship we walked down to the Wyndham Hotel (five minutes away) and spent an hour in the casino. Believe me it pays better than the ship.
In St. Thomas, our travelling companions took the excursion to St. John's and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you take this one I would recommend the morning as it gets very hot in the afternoon. We decided to walk around the stores in Port and then we took a tram ride up the side of a hill and got a beautiful view of the ship and surrounding areas. We also took a taxi ride into town ($3.00 per person) and looked around. I really enjoyed it. St. Thomas is considered the #1 shopping area for jewellery.
St. Croix had some excursions around the island which we didn't take but our friends did. I have to admit it wasn't my favourite island.
All in all we had a fantastic time and the ship was beautiful. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

My husband and I went on the same cruise at the end of June. We absolutely
loved every minute.
It is good that you have a balcony. It is totally the way to go.
I am not sure how much noise you will have as we were a few decks above.
San Juan was fun and I do recommend the fort. My husband and I actually
found a great walkway along the water on the outside of the fort. By the
time you get to San Juan, you may not make it for the inside tour. No matter,
the outside walk was phenomenal, as we had plenty of time to stretch our legs,
and the sunset was super for pictures.
St. Croix was my favorite out of all the islands, though. It was more laid-back
and the taxis will take you anywhere. We just parked ourselves on a beach
near a well-known hotel that was gorgeous.
Do the Trunk Bay snorkling trip from St. Thomas. We got great pictures
underwater of the fish and it is everything it was cracked up to be.
