Copy with Raised Seal?

I was told that a copy with a raised seal was adequate...Does anyone know if this is true...Going on my first cruise in two weeks...

that is fine as long as it has the raised seal. that is exactly what i take. hope you have a great time!!!!!

I wrote for and received an "official" copy of my birth certificate. It does not have a raised seal but has a blue border that feels raised. Will this work or do I need to try again?

i'm a first timer also, but was told that copies were fine but had to have a raised seal or you wouldnt be able to board the ship. better safe than sorry

I did the same thing - ordered an "official" birth certificate copy with the raised edging. I called my travel agent and they said this was fine.

A copy with raised seal is what I have taken on the cruises I have been on.
I took my original to my bank and they put a raised seal on the copy free of charge.

A copy is provided from the dept of health services/vital statistics adn they put the raised seal on the birth certificate. They would have a Notary put on a seal to state that it is a true and correct copy. All birth certificates are done this way.

We only had to show the certificates to the person who took our doc's at checkin (prior to boarding). They didnt even look at our drivers license! She just looked at the certificates and gave them back to us.

Keep them locked up in your safe. Take yoru sign and sail card and dr's license with you at all times!
