Default honeymooners on cruise

My fiance and I are going on a cruise on Carnival Inspiration for our honeymoon on Sept. 16-23. We are wondering if there will be many younger couples (20-somethings) also on the cruise? We would like to dine with people our age - do we request this in advance?

Hi Trc,
Hopefully your travel agent requested a table with cruisers in your age bracket or even other honeymooners. We're had a few honeymoon cruisers as tablemates in the past and we've all gotten along great. I'm sure you will have a great time, enjoy the honeymoon!

You may also want to post on the "meet on board" here at Cruisemates and see what other cruisers are going at the same time:

I'm not in your age bracket. My husband and I are in our 50's, but on our cruise last fall on the Voyager of the Seas we had a table for 6, and the other 4 were all in their 20's. One couple were honeymooners! We had a marvelous time each evening talking about the day we had just experienced. I really enjoy a mix of people. You get to know so many different people that way. Just have an open attitude and you'll really enjoy yourselves!

Not sure how you would request that, but last year when my husband and I cruised, some of the paper work we filled out asked about special occassions, and it also requested birthdate, anniversaries or wedding date. Then at the table we found we had been put at a table with two honeymoon couples, and one celebrating an anniversary. I think they try and match celebrants and age as well is most likley a factor.
A cruise is a wonderful way to honeymoon, but of course so are those anniversaries!!!!!
