Cash or Credit Card??

Leaving for our first cruise (family of 4) on Sept. 9th on the Inspiration and wondered if all the money we bring should be cash or should we bring some cash and charge everything else? Want to be safe financially speaking!

I just got back from a 4 night cruise on the Jubilee. I found that if you
are staying on the ship, you don't need much cash. You'll primarily
need some for going ashore if you want to do some shopping or dining.

Don't forget cash for tips.

Re: Cash or Credit Card??

Darlene, just returned from my first cruise (Fascination) this past Monday. It is basically "cashless" while on board. Everything goes to your sail and sign account and you can settle that in cash prior to disembarkation if you prefer. You will need cash for casino, while on shore, and of course tips. It's your call if you want to keep your on board charges on the credit card you used when you checked in or pay cash at the end. FYI the pursers/info. desk gets VERY busy the evening before and morning of disembarkation!
