Help w/ Progresso excursions

Hi, we're going on the Pride on Dec. 7 and we're considering our options on what to do in Progresso. It's tempting to just hang out at the beach for the day and shop, but a couple of the tours sound pretty good too. The ruins sound interesting, but spending several hours on a bus on my vacation just doesn't sound appealing. Anyway, we're considering the Reef Club Beach Break or the Kayak Adventure at Chelem Lagoon. Has anyone done these excursions and if so, what did you think of them? Thanks.

Just Got Back Sat. Yes, Try To Do A Tour. We Went In To Town And To Merida. Not Worth Going To See. Pride You Will Love, Best Carnival Ship I Been On .

I highly recommend the trip to Uxmal. The ruins are fabulous. You can see some photos at my personal website, <http://happysails.com>.

The beach at the end of the causeway from the ship's pier isn't much and there isn't a lot in the way of shopping in Progreso.

We will be there in a couple of weeks, so I will update all my western Caribbean features when we return.

GO ON THE CHICHEN ITZA MAYAN RUIN TOUR- IT IS A 2 HOUR BUS RIDE (EACH WAY) BUT REALLY AN OLD WORLD WONDER! NOTHING ELSE APPEALED TO US FOR THE TOURS. THE BEACH IS NOT MUCH TO SPEAK OF...... GET YOUR LIST OF EXCURSIONS BEFORE DEPARTURE AND DECIDE- THEY BOOK QUICK. IN BELIZE- DO NOT MISS THE CAVE TUBING! SO RELAXING AND SCENERY IS BEAUTIFUL.
