Has any one been cruising aboard the Paradise. Need info. Going on this ship next year. First time cruising and hoping we have made a good choice. we are aware that is is a non smoking ship. No one in our group smokes, so this is okay with us. Please respond.

Here is also some helpfull information/tips for a "first cruise", well worth looking throught:
Just returned from the Paradise. It's a wonderful ship. My husband and I had a great time despite the horrible tragedy of last week. The food in the dining room was very good most of time. One night we had prime rib that practically melted in your mouth, another night it was served again and was pretty tough. Didn't go to all the shows, but the ones we did see (Shout and Dream Voyage) were very good. Very high energy! There were two comedians, Gene Merola and I can't remember the other one's name. Both were pretty funny. Enjoyed the cruise director, Lenny Halliday. Music in the lounges wasn't bad. Never went to the Rex Dance Club. 'Just Duet' played in the Leonardo Lounge. They're music was described as Live Rock, Roll Rhythm and Blues. 'Kooshall' played dance music in the Queen Mary Lounge. The gym was busy in the mornings. Used it a couple of times. They also offered aerobics and step aerobics classes free of charge Yoga, Pilates, and BodyCycle classes were offered, but cost $10 each.
Hi, Landa.
We sailed the Paradise May, 2000. The moment we boarded her, the first thing I noticed was the clean smell. There were NEVER smoke odors, as this is a no-smoking ship. It was truly PARADISE! I think you chose a good ship and cruise line for a first cruise. I have taken a total of 14 cruises on all different lines, and Carnival still delivers a decent product for the money. I particularly like the deck layout. The Promenade deck has just about all of the night life on the same deck. That is real convenient. We like to stay on the Empress deck. This is about center of the ship and convenient to all decks.
Enjoy. Happy Sailing!
Any more questions, feel free to ask.

I cruised on the Paradise Nov. 2000. I have been an several other Carnival ships and The Paradise is my favorite to date. Our Cruise was fully booked and
still never a wait for service. It felt like we had our own personal staff following us around and guessing our needs before they arose.
We had a couple of complaints and they were renderd immediatley. They really aim to please.
Dinner was always excellent and they really know their wines.
The smoke free atmosphere was refreshing and Carnival should definately add more smoke free ships with a wider itenerary. You'll definately enjoy.
