Default luggage storage in cabin

Sailing on the carnival destiny. Second time on this boat, but different
itinerary.
I can't remember how high off the floor the beds were.
I know my suitcase fit there before, but now it is bigger and always gets
the lucky "heavy" tag from the airline.
any help on the space under the bed would be appreicated.
Thanks much, J

How many in your cabin? I found it easy to place my large upright on wheels in the storage area next to the closet (where you can hang clothing). There was ample room there for my empty suit case and still enough hanging space for clothing. Just a suggestion?

Hi Jason,
Just in case there isn't enough room for that monster suitcase, you can always ask your cabin attendant to store it for you, they will be happy to.

Enjoy your 2nd Destiny cruise!

I also find that it is not the mattress but the frame that keeps you from sliding it under the bed. Try lifting slightly on the frame to clear and push it under.

That's exactly what I did also. My bag would not fit under the bed but the space in the closet worked perfectly and I still had plenty of room for clothes.

Thanks, I'll take the big one and if it does not fit under the bed or does not work in the closet. I'll have it stowed.

All but one of our suitcases fit under the bed (they are the rollmen cases) and they stack within each other. The one that didn't fit we made into a dirty clothes hamper at the bottom of the bed. We put it next to a little table (square solid thing) under the tv at the foot of the bed. It was space that we didn't use anyway.
