Hi Chris,
I'm sure you will find other singles when you get onboard, just go to the singles functions they will hold, check the daily paper for times and places. As for Cozumel, you can grab a cab and head over to Chankanaab Park and snorkel, they even rent the equipment right there. Also a trip to Carlos and Charles is fun too while you are in Cozumel. BTW, what ship are you going on? You may want to post in the "meet on board" here at Cruisemates to find other cruisers:

Also, here is a link to some great tips for going on your first cruise:

Have a great time, and do post back and let us know about it!

Yes, people really dress formal on the formal nights. In cozumel, we went to Chankaanaub Park and snorkeled that was great! Have fun!

Our experience was that some people go all out on formal nights, tuxedos for the men and formal dresses (lots of old bridesmaids dresses) for the women. Others just dress the same as they do for any dinner. As long as you don't show up in shorts and a t-shirt it will be fine. Saw lots of polo shirts on formal night on our cruise.

Most likely you will be put at a table with other singles. From my experience lots of people hook up with their tablemates to do things on and off the ship. We went on several shore tours with our tablemates and still are in contact with them amost a year later.

The cruise is what you want to make of it. There are places on the ship you can go that will feel like spring break in Daytona and then there are quieter places. Make sure you read the carnival capers at night and then decide what you want to do. You will have a great time.
