6E Destiny Question

Will someone PLEASE explain to me the situation on the 6E cabins?

I'm booked in one for the week of 11/18/01.

Major reservations about this as I wanted a balcony. Received 6E as an automatic upgrade from a 6A...cost of $200 more p/p for a balcony.

PLEASE give me some insight.

Hi Palla
All OCEAN VIEW cabins are 6a, 6b,and 6E - 6E are floor to ceiling windows,
no balcony. Balcony cabins start at 8A.
When we sailed on the Destiny April of 1997 the 6E catagory was in with
the the Balcony's catagory and since we did not designate a specific cabin -
you guessed it, we got the floor to ceiling window. A big dissapointment
for most people we talked to in the Spa deck 10 cabins.
But now those cabins are in with ocean view - which they really are!!!!!
It is worth it to me to pay for the balcony. The Destiny itineraries are nice and we are going on the Dutch Treat next April, 2002. Have a balcony booked on
Empress, Deck 7. Enjoy your cruise!!!!!!!!

We were booked into a cat. 6E last year on the Victory. At the last min., the prices dropped and we were able to upgrade to a cat. 11. The balcony is well worth the extra dollars!

Just got off of Destiny on 9/16 - my husband and I were upgraded to 6E, as we booked late and all balconies were booked. I is actually a very nice, large room. And being on the Spa Deck is very convenient. You have a pool on your deck and are only one level above Lido Deck, which is where the food is .

Although we were disappointed we didn't get upgraded to a balcony, we really enjoyed the huge window.
