Kudos to all who have not cancelled their travel p
I just found this sight (great sight!) & want to say thank you & God bless to all of you who have the guts to go ahead & travel (fly, cruise, etc.) despite recent events.
We are hurting ourselves by damaging our economy when we allow our lives to be shut down. Right now travel is probably safer than it has ever been. However, planes are flying with as few as 2 passengers, restaurants are closing, hotels are empty & people are losing jobs left & right. The media can be helpful, but in this case there is totally too much emphasis on all the things that MIGHT go wrong, scaring everyone even more. I hope investors are reading about you wonderful people who are still willing to cruise & fly & that they realize our nation will not let this terrorist destroy our way of life. You only live once & NOW is the time to do the things you have always wanted. We have just learned a very sad lesson that has proven this. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Bon Voyage & may God watch over every one of you.
Re: Kudos to all who have not cancelled their trav
I'm with you friend. I've booked two cruises for next year and I will be there. Our wonderful country has been through worse. We are all mourning the loss of our citizens and it pains me to hear the news, but our hearts will heal. We will go on and our feelings will turn to anger. We will clean up the trash, even if the rest of the world is too weak or scared to help. Thats why we are Americans. It's not the first time and it won't be the last! I must say that after two hundred years, the world still does not understand us. Poor dump fools!
Re: Kudos to all who have not cancelled their trav
Hey Mlb,
Yes, agree totally with you, we must try to continue to travel and keep our economy going, a lot of people are loosing their jobs because of all this. I too plan on keeping my cruise plans for later this year, in fact today we just hit the double digits until cruise, can't wait, seems like we've been waiting a long time.
Re: Kudos to all who have not cancelled their trav
^5!!
We are leaving tomorrow and I was telling all my friends I want to take a picture of us having a wonderful time...sunning our bodies...drinking yummy drinks and send it to "those people" letting them know.....they can't stop us from keeping our FREEDOM! *giggling* I just think it would be sorta fun to do!
Re: Kudos to all who have not cancelled their trav
Hi
We plan to leave in October for a five night curise and boyfriend is feeling kind of funny about going. I have tried to insure him that it will be o.k. to travel at this time. Are the ships really safe to trvel I need a little reasurence myself.
Re: Kudos to all who have not cancelled their trav
My girlfriend and I are counting the days (27) till we leave on our third cruise; a two week trans canal cruise on the Spirit. We never considered canceling but were more worried about Carnival canceling or our employers canceling our vacation. We plan on bringing American Flags and want to have one in our hands every time we take a picture in rememberance of the victims and heroes who died in New York, D.C., and Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. Eventhough we will be on vacation, work and home my not be in our minds but those innocent people will be for a long time. God Bless America!

Hey, all of you travelers have the right idea! I feel better already! Some of your ideas are great - like the flags. I esp. liked pipefit's comment - I'll take some tickets, too! Bon Voyage!Dosha wrote:
