We are on the 11/25/01 sailing of the Victory. We have a stern stateroom (8430) on the Verandah deck and was wondering if there is a lot of noise heard from the above deck (Lido). Also are there refrigerators in these cat.8 staterooms. I have read that the balconies are nice and roomy on the stern. Thanks so much for any help.

Sailed on the Victory a yr ago and had Cabin 6461, Deck 6. Had the
"large" balcony 9A. All these back balconies have more sunshine since
there is no overhead ceiling. If you are a sun-lover you will love your balcony.
Noise should not be a problem. Loved the decor of the Victory.
Ready to sail on her again (wishful thinking for now). Happy cruising!!!!!
John & Priscilla,
I sailed on the Carnival Triumph in August last year as well as February this year. The ship has the same configuration as the Victory and I was (in August 2000) on the Verandah deck (Cabin 8435). There was little noise from above or below and the cabin is nice and roomy. The best part of cruising at the stern of the ship is gazing out onto the ocean with no-one peering over from the deck above. It is "very" private! I will be sailing on the Victory the week before (11/18/01) with my friend "Sherry - The Cruise Queen" and will be residing in a Stateroom on the Panorama Deck. Enjoy your cruise as we definitely will!
Storm'n Norman & The Cruise Queen
We had a similar room on the Victory 12/31/00.
A little noise from the Lido Deck above. The 24 hr. Pizza depot is above your area.
Not a bother though. No fridge in your room. You will LOVE your balcony room.
The only problem we had was that the week went by too quickly. Enjoy your trip.
We'll be on the Paradise this New Years.
