Carnival Destiny

I was susposed to be on Riviera but they upgraded me to the Verandah on Carnival Destiny. I was wondering if there is any difference between being on the Riviera deck and the Verandah deck. Is the Verandah deck quieter, noisyer, bigger, smaller what's the difference? What are the pros and cons?

Verandah is much better than Riviera. Riviera is on the first deck and you feel the ship movement much more than being in Verandah. Take the upgrade and enjoy it.

The Verandah is a higher deck. We find that it is less crowded using the elevator due to less people rooming on the floor. Also quieter and ship movement is almost non existant unless really rough waters. We always book the Verandah or higher. treat yourself to a balcony room and it cant get any better.
Ugrade is usually about $50 per person per deck as you go higher on the ship. You will definately enjoy, and their trea, cant beat it!
