Default Will non-partiers enjoy?

We just sailed spirit to alaska in Sept and loved it. But this ship was not full and there were no children on board as it was first week of school.

Considering booking the Pride to carribean in April or May. We are pretty quiet folks who prefer relaxing rather than partying. No offense intended, but we prefer vacations without lots of children running about or young partiers. We are not offended by them, (we were them about 15 years ago) we just prefer comtemplative relaxation on our vacations.

What can we expect from carribean carnival during April or May? Trying to pick times when school is in and spring breaks are over. Should we not consider carnival and just go with celebrity or another more sedate cruiseline? Please advise.

I love the Caribbean in May...for the past 4 years we've gone in May and have had great weather and few children...I can't speak specifically for Carnival because we have only been on them once.

Mina,
I love Carnival and I don't think of them as a wild partyboat but, there will be lots of activities onboard any CCL ship. You actually may prefer a more sedate cruising style such as Princess or Celebrity instead.

We just sailed on the Triumph in September. We are not the partying type either, but we enjoy the Carnival atmosphere. There is always a quiet corner to get away from it all.
There were not many children at this time either, as school had just started. We had sailed Carnival before with our son. Once in August & once in June. There were ALOT of kids. Now that he's grown, and doesn't go with us, we will always sail when the kids are in school. It is much quieter on the ship. Happy cruising!

YES YOU WILL ENJOY CARNIVAL. I'M A QUIET PERSON ALSO. FIND YOU A SPOT AND RELAX ALL YOU WANT. THATS THE GOOD PART ABOUT A CARNIVAL SHIP. YOU CAN DO AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU WANT. AND YOU WILL SURPRISED HOW RELAXED YOU CAN GET. HAPPY CRUISING BUD

We did an April cruise on the Paradise and missed the spring break kids by two weeks. The staff was still talking about the pranks the kids pulled. They had over 800 kids that week in Camp Carnival. At night they switched the door tags on everyone's rooms. Those with DO Not Disturb got early AM breakfast delivered. Our cruise was very sedate and we enjoyed every minute. The partiers were at the single's parties which we enjoyed on the TV the next day.
