Yes, you can still add the insurance, just about up to right before you leave, but now would be a good time to do it so you don't forget. If you need info on some 3rd party travel insureance, just re-post and I'll send you some links to check prices/coverages.

You'd have to read the different policies to see what they cover, they do differ.
Here is some links you can check out, I've used CSA lately with no problem, but have not had to make a claim, thats when the test comes into play, having them pay for a loss and how quickly they complete the claim. These are 2 that I have, good luck, better to be safe than sorry.
