Just want to say thanks to all our Military Men and Women who help make it possible for Americans to enjoy the "good life". I cry with you for your pain of separation from your families and praise you for willingly putting yourselves in harms way for your country. I wish I could be beside you, once again, shoulder to shoulder my Brothers-in Arms.......but since I can't, I pray for your safety during these times of danger. Bless you all and Bless America!
I totally agree! It is because of their bravery and courage that we get to live the wonderful life we are living!! I, too, thank them for protecting this wonderful country, and pray that they return home to their families very soon!!
I agree and my father was a WWII vet and My brother and I are both Vietnam Vets and my oldest son is a former 82nd Airborne trooper however. this is a CCL board and this topic would be better placed in the "People" board under "Chit-Chat". Actually, that would be a VERY nice place to put this! <G>
Sorry Jim, usually I agree with you but on this one I can't agree. I did place this post in "Chit-Chat" as you suggested. I too was a grunt in Vietnam...then 20 more years in the USMC. I did'nt post this for any other reason than it says and I did'nt post it seeking replies. Just my personal feelings at the moment I posted it. However, I don't think a "thanks" to our military men and women past and present should be delegated to any particular board. For, as one reply on the Celebrity board said so well......"I too am a veteran and if it were not for us veterans there would be know I mean NO sites to post anything. Keep posting brother where ever and when ever you see fit"....Paul. That said, out of respect for you Jim, I also posted it on the "Chit-Chat" board. But don't worry <G>...I won't "beat this into the ground".
Semper Fi Brother
Well I am not serving as an active Marine, i will be a wife of the Corp in less than 3 weeks now and we will be honeymooning on the Victory on the 25th. And I am sure that i can speak for at least my soon to be husband and myself in that we appriciate yours prayers and we ask that they continue. I can think of nothing more moving than to see him in his uniform, especially now and on our wedding day, he loves it. And he is wearing it for the Captains dinner and was concerned with it being too formal, well i told him to wear it with pride, because pride is never too formal!
Again thanks and continue to pray for the military, especially our Commander In Cheif!!
