I've enjoyed talking with several cruise mates soon to be on the Inspiration on 12/2/01. We are just less than a month away now and was hoping to gather everyone onto one board.
We are a family of four from Oklahoma City. We can't wait to meet you all and do not forget to toast the Newlweds on board, Al and Val, Cheers! I have been fortunate enough to become acquainted with them both through these boards and appreciate all of their assistance.
Sherry and I are loking forward to a MUCH needed vacation. This is our second cruise with Carnival and we are calling it our 20th Anniversary cruise. I have been busy ordering up little suprises and events for the cruise, but we like to lay on the deck, take a massage, snorkel... and okay I do tag along and offer my comments when it comes time for shopping. I hope we run across some of the folks we have chatted with on these boards.
Was going to try to send a picture from the last Carnival cruise, but Windows XP doesn't support my scanner. Hmm, spend money on new hardware... or save it for the cruise?

We are also sailing on 12/02/01 on the Inspiration. We are from Fort Worth, TX. This is our second cruise and are really looking forward to a great time. We have all ready booked our excursion to Sting Ray City (I understand it is a must)and buy Rum Cake. Not sure what to do in Jamaica. In Cozumel we plan to go to Chankanaab Park and snorkel, stop by Carlos and Charlies and do a little shopping (any hints on shopping will be greatly appreciated).
Please let me know if I am leaving anything out that I must do.
My husband and I will also be on this ship, along with his mother and a friend. We are from Arlington, Tx, almost next door to Lynette! This will be my fifth cruise. Can't wait. Hope to see ya there.
My girlfriend and i are leaving saturday from hotlanta ga and will be partying in new orleans that day and night before the cruise. Wow only 1 more month we cant wait! Im getting a motel coupon at www.roomsaver.com and hoping for the best. Last year i found a coupon in south beach miami for 39 bucks. The guy in front of me had no coupon and paid 140 dollars for the same room. All coupons are based on avalibility

I have some info on parking at the port of new orleans for people who are driving. The port of new orleans has raised the price of a week parking rate from 49 bucks to 70 dollars for a one space vehicle. If you have a large rv that takes up two spaces it will cost you 140 bucks. We will also be with you on 12/02. We are so excited. We are from Louisiana. This is my second cruise, my husband's first. My mom is traveling with us and it's her second also. We cruised in April 2001 on the Celebration out of Galveston and had a wonderful time.

Folks who are driving in need to be aware that the Saints are playing in the Superdome that Sunday and the game starts at 1:00 PM so plan ahead for the traffic. The Superdome is not very far from the pier so allow extra time.
I found a coupon in a travel magazine for a room at the Days Inn at the airport for $34.95. If you are driving in on Saturday to do the tourist thing before we embark on Sunday, this will save you a little money. I have an extra copy of this if anyone wants it, I will be glad to send it to them.

Im getting all this broken sleep dreaming of the high seas. It seems like time has slowed to a crawl. I bet tonight i will dream of all that 1st class service in the dining room. Now I won't be able to sleep tonight. I got my cruise documents in the mail today and that just got me wound up! I've read them over twice just to make sure that it's my name on the boarding pass. .

I will also be on the 12/2 cruise with my wife. Just thought I would let you know there is a parking garage called the Fulton Place Garage at 901 Convention Center Boulevard.
When you drive into the garage they take your luggage and tell you what floor to go park on. They go and put it on the shuttle bus and wait for you to park your car and come down the elevator the the shuttle bus. I am not sure what the current rate is but, it is probabaly the same as the port. The one advantage I see is that you and your luggage is delivered to the curb.
Lynette, A ew years ago we did the booze cruise in cozumel, and it was a blast! You shop on a island you can snorkel, and all the booze is included for 36 bucks pp. 4 hours of mexican live muzic, amazing sight seeing of the cozumel resorts from the booze boat. I said i was gonna go to carlos and charlies afterwards but we neaver made it lol cozumel is the best mick & ann
yippee, cant wait to get on board that ship. Spend two days in New Orleans first, so it should be quite an adventure. Me and four of my friends, all 26 years old.
I can barely read Mick's message's any longer!!! You guys are getting me sooo excited and like Debra said - it feels like waiting for Santa's arrival. Al and I will be getting married this coming Saturday ... the 24th. The following week will be the longest week ever. We will be arriving in NO on Saturday about noon. Al and I both are looking so forward to meeting Michelle and her family, along with everyone else. We have scheduled Barrett's Adventures in Jamica and Capt Marvin in Grand Cayman. We also got our doc's this past weekend. We have packed, unpacked and did it again. I am afraid I'll forget something.

We would like to say congrats again to val and al hitching up and take it from ann and i cruises are the most romantic vacations you can take. Now as far as where are we all gonna meet at? Im not sure. The reason im saying this is that were arriving in new orleans on the day before. Im not sure whos coming in early or should we all wait till we get aboard the inspiration.
