Kids and Sign and Sail Cards

I know everyone on the ship has a sign and sail card because they are used as the boarding pass. My question is are kids allowed to use the sign and sail card the same as adults? Mainly to charge things on the ship. Is there a way to put a "block" on the charging power of the kids? My 8 year old cousin will be sailing with my parents and would charge things just to irritate them if he was allowed to.

Also, do the kids need to take the sign and sail card with them to Camp Carnival (he will be getting a soda card) or can my mom just hold on to the card all the time since he would only be getting off the ship with her.

You can put a block on the 8 year old's sign and sail card. The kids can use their card just like adults. If the card is lost another one can be issued. I kept my son's card with me. I didn't let him take it to Camp Carnival. I only used Camp Carnival on the days at sea and when he did go I kept his card with me. I'm leaving 12/3/01 on the Fascination. Have fun on your cruise.
