Default Yet another Doc question

We are sailing on the Inspiration on Dec. 30 We are not purchasing air travel through Carnival so I was thinking that we should get our docs sooner. Has anyone who has purchased without airfare found this to be the case. If so, how soon did you get your docs?

Hi Decbride,
Yes, in most cases, you will receive your documents earlier than those that are doing the cruise/air. You could possibly see them in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out, have a great cruise!

We didn't purchase air for our cruise in 10 days and our travel agent just got the cruise documents on wednesday from Carnival.

I would say start looking for them about 3 weeks before the cruise. If you don't have them 2 weeks before call your travel agent and have them find out what the hold up is.

Our tickets were held up because someone at Carnival entered the amount we paid in wrong and they believed we still owned them $50 which was untrue. The TA took care of the situation for us and Carnival express shipped the docs to her with an apology.

My last cruise in August I booked 'cruise only' and received my docs about 4 weeks prior. However they do tell you standard policy is 2 weeks before sailing? I have the Pride booked now for January 9, and did my own air again so will see how soon they come in this time?

Thank you all! I am just anxious about the cruise, with this being the first and all. I just wanted some answers from other cruisers. Hopefully I will be seeing them soon. We are leaving for out of town 1 week before the cruise, and won't return until after the cruise. I just wanted to make sure I had them.

Thanks again!
