tips on sign and sail card
are tips automatically added to your sign and sail card? If they are how much does carnival add for a 7 day trip?

Re: tips on sign and sail card
I'm almost positive that this is goes for any of the Carnival ships:
When you automatically get something like a drink, a 15% tip is automatically added (I got a drink for $3.50 and the receipt said $4.03). You have to have a sail and sign card to get anythign on the ship, so the tips are automatically added. |
Re: tips on sign and sail card
Micky,
On drinks they do add the tip to your card. As far as your steward, waiter, etc. There are some great guidelines as to how much you tip at the end of the cruise out on the web. On Carnival you will tip at the end of the trip in cash for all the above. Carnival will put a sheet in your room giving guidelines. Tip according to the service if you do not agree with them. On some ships all tips are automatically added at the beginning of your cruise. Se my Spirit review a couple of messages below.

Re: tips on sign and sail card
If you are on a ship that automatically adds the tips to your sign and sail card you can ask to have them removed or adjusted if you prefer to tip in cash. You would do this at the purser's office.
Generally tips run about $9.00/day/person. So that is $63.00/person for a 7 day cruise if you use the posted guidelines for tipping. According to the carnival brouchure: Room Steward: $3.50/guest/day Waiter: $3.50/guest/day Assistant Waiter: $2.00/guest/day tipping of maitre d' and headwaiter is at your discretion. |
