I have cruised a few times before and am now thinking about a spring cruise with my son and a few other couples and their kids. This is the 1st time we have brought a child along and it appears that for all of the itineraries I have looked at so far, the cost for the 3rd person is DOUBLE (at least) what you pay for the first two passengers!! What gives??
Hubby and I always cruise with my mother, and her fare is usually at least half if not less than that of our fare. Carnival is very good to 3rd. person in cabins. Carnival is also very kid friendly. Took our grandson to Alaska two years ago and he had a ball, he was 10 at the time.
Keep looking you can find a good deal.

Cruise at least once a year, husband, daughter and myself. My daughter is always at least a third of the the cost of the 1st & 2nd person. Perhaps you are misunderstanding the quotes you are being given. Good luck.

Not sure just where you are seeing that information as the 3rd & 4th passenger in the same cabin is usually half or less than the cost of the first two. OIn some sailing they even have them for free! Now port fees and taxes are the same as the first two, but something is wrong with your information. If you can give us more info on where you are seeing this maybe we could be of more help.

I'm booked on the Vicotry 12/15/02. My TA quoted us a price of $549 for 3rd and 4th. It is a group of us. inside $579 outside $729 and balcony $879. The Ta called Carnival again to try to get a lower price.
