Default Jeep Safari

We are going on Carnival Sensation in two weeks and are considering taking the jeep safari. Has anyone taken either the one at Playa del Carmen or Cozumel? Any info as to which one is better would be great. We will also be taking our 8 yr. old with us. Any age limits, etc? Thanks in advance. Denny

We've done the Jeep Safari in Cozumel. Had a great time doing it. Just a fun time getting jostled around for a few hours <G>

Regards,
Kuki

We did the Jeep Safari Tour in Cozumel two years ago. It was fun but there is really no "Jungle" on the route. Thye time spent on the beach was very nice but some people thought there was too much beach time and not enough off-roading. Also not everyone got an actual Jeep product. We rushed so as not to get a foreign imposter. If you have any questions just write back. (By the way, both my wife and I work at the Jeep plant in Toledo.)

We did the tour out of Playa two years ago. We had a blast. Most of the vehicles were trackers but a few Wranglers were available. They had both stick and automatics. I wouldn't call it Jungle, but tropical woods/mangrove. Very hilly and dusty but lots of fun. We stopped at Aktun Chen Eco Park and toured the caves then drove to the beach for lunch and swimming. We had a great time.

We did the jeep tour in Playa in October and had a blast!! On our tour, we had all wranglers and one tracker. As others have mentioned, we didn't really spend any time in the "jungle" but did some off-roading in the tropical woods and got to see a bit of the city. The caves we toured were really cool...the beach we spent the afternoon at was beautfiul and the food was great!! Our tour guides made the trip a lot of fun!! The tender ride back to Cozumel was an adventure too....the boat was going *really* fast and there were a lot of waves...it almost felt like we were on a roller coaster part of the time. We also saw several dolphins on the trip back...that was an amazing sight!!

Happy Sailing,
Kristin
