I really hope that those of you who recently sailed on the Pride will post reviews soon!!! I have read all three currently posted, but I want more. I have to wait until 8/23/02 to sail on the Pride, and I have to feed the addiction!
The review on cruisecritic is indeed very informative - question for anyone out there - what is the deal with needing a bungee cord to keep the balcony door open, this is the 2nd time I have read someone doing this. Are the doors too heavy to remain open by themselves, and do they open to the inside or outside?
Looks like the balcony door (s) opens in or out but does not slide. If you wish to have fresh air, you will require a Bungee Cord to keep the door open. However, I have heard the AC is progamed to shut off if it detects the "warm moist outside air". Just something I read.
Hello. I'm one of the people who has written a detailed review of our January 12th sailing of the Pride. The balcony door opens out and is pretty heavy. We took a 3' bungee cord, and wrapped it around the handle of the door, and then around the balcony railing to keep the door open. But as the other person posted, there is a sign at the balcony door that states when the door is open, the A.C. shuts off, and the cabin does get pretty warm. The Pride is a gorgeous ship!!
