Default Saltwater pools on pride?

I will be going on the Pride in April and i had a few questions about it from people who have already sailed. Does anybody know if there is saltwater in the pools on the pride? I have been on one other cruise and that one had fresh water. Please respond if anyone knows about this . Thankyou!

Haven't sailed yet (will on 03/09) but every other Carnival Ship that I have been on (Fantasy, Esctasy, and Destiny) all had salt water pools. I expect that the Pride also has salt water pools.

Believe it or not, Jose and I never made it to a pool or a hot tub, but my understanding from what I was hearing on board was that they are salt water.

Pools are saltwater, hot-tubs are freshwater. Onboard Princess ships the water is fresh in the pools.

Jim is correct again, on the Pride the pools are salt water and the hot tubs are fresh water. Interestingly, according to the ship's specs, all the water on board is treated and reused, and the fresh water is made from the salt water. Conservation is a major design factor for these newer boats.

Also, what I found extremely intriguing is the propulsion is accomplished by electric motor driven props which allow the props to turn 360 degrees and independently from each other. These electric motors are driven by generators. This design really increases the manueverability in tight quarters.
