Default balcony on Pride

In reading reviews of other ships I see quite a few complaints about being seen on balconies from upper decks. Is this a problem on the Pride also?

I hope not as we are on he highest deck - Panorama Deck, but hopefully you cannot see from the Lido Deck down. We are going on 2/9 and will and will try and remember to let you know.

I had a balcony on the Verandah Deck-7 and don't recall being able to see others above me. I don't think this is a problem on the Pride. Also I remember standing at the rail on the Lido Deck and didn't see people on their balcony when looking down. However the dividers between your balcony and the next are 'paper thin' and you can hear conversation so keep that in mind if your talking about personal matters!

I was standing on the back of the ship one morning on Lido and looked down and saw a man on his balcony, looking out too.

This may be the case with the aft balconies since they look 'tiered', but the ones on the sides of the ship I can personally say I could not see anyone above or below me at anytime.

Len is correct! The balconies on the very back of the ship are tiered, and I could see them when standing on the top deck of the ship. We were in cabin #6236, however, and I felt our balcony was very private.

Have asked this ? previously on another board and never really got an answer. Do the balcony doors open to the inside or outside? Also someone mentioned you need a bungee cord to keep the door open!? Again, can anyone shed any light on this - I'm really confused. Thanks.

The door opens OUT towards the balcony...and yes there is NO way to keep it propped open unless you had a cord of some sort...the door has a pretty heavy duty spring action and closes pretty hard! Hope this answers your question?

Thanks Len, I will bring the Bungee Cord to hold the door open.
