I am considering traveling on Carnival's Holiday with a two year old. Would like some info on the decks and railing. Am very concerned that the toddler may fall overboard. What types of safegaurds are there to prevent this?
We are taking our third cruise with young children (Ages 3 and 5 years). Our children have been cruising since before they could walk. I recommend using inside accessways as much as possible. You can do this easily and still be "outside" by traveling near interior pools etc in place of outside railings. The children's pool areas have additional netting elements to help safeguard your child. We cruised on the Paradise the first two years, and are on the Pride this year. These are both newer ships, so I don't know about the Holiday. The only time I was even slightly nervous was during the boat drill. You have to have your child near the outer railing of the ship during that activity. My kids are little monkeys. I felt and feel very safe traveling on a ship with them. Have fun!
