Planning an Estern Caribbean Cruise on the Paradise leaving from Miami and needing a nice, reasonably price hotel close to the ship as we will be flying in the day before. Also how far is the Miami airport from the cruise terminal?
It`s about a 15 minute cab ride, depending on traffic.
Hotels, Biscayne Bay Marriott or The Hyatt Regency downtown.
Steer clear of Howard Johnson`s, the place is a dump ready for the wrecking ball. Hope this helps!
Best Western At Bayside Marina!! Cheap nothing fancy but 2 things : 1. Great view of the Ships coming into port of Miami
2. Bayside Marina across the strett great places to drink, eat, shop, etc. Hard Rock Cafe,Hooters, Frog's, Etc. Very short 5 minute ride to the Port.
Priceline always gets us a great rate....We bid $50.00 and got Sheraton Biscane...also on return Bid 61.00 and got Renaisance Biscayne....both great deals near Bayside/Port area
Thanks for all the advice! We ended up using our Hilton Honors points and booked the Embassy Suites by the Miami airport. It looks to be fairly close by to the port.
Depends on what you want to do when in Miami. We wanted beach time, but didn't want to spend a lot for a short overnight stay. We found the Holiday Inn at Indian Creek nice and economical. Full service hotel with pool and dining room/lounge and one block walk to the beach. Rate was about $89 for a superior room, upper floor with balcony ocean view. You could still see in the distance the ships sailing in and out of port from the balcony.
We stayed at the Radisson D'Eauville on Miami Beach, when we too flew in the day prior to our cruise - very classy and yet reasonable.....close to Port - enjoy your cruise !!
