We are going to Cozumel on Inspiration with kids ages 7-14 . Have heard about Playa del Sol and the park. Some in our group want to snorkel off the Palancar Reef. Others just want to hang out at the beach. Any suggestions from you veterans would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Have to agree with Donna, The Lagoon is a nice compromise. It isn't the reef but there are lots of fish to view and there is still a nice beach, nature walk, and plenty to do. Catch a cab and go for it.
Playa Sol has a web site (http://www.playasol.com.mx/) and it lists their activites. I emailed them for their price of admission. They tell me the cruise ships offer a Playa Sol Beach Break for $19.00 which includes admission and all the drinks-sodas, water, and open bar. There is also a place to eat with buffet, but they did not say what that would cost. They do have a package (all inclusive activities, drinks, and eating for $35.00). On this website, there is a coupon you can print off for 15% off, but you would not be able to use that if you bought excursion from the ship. Taxi is also on you own.
