Anyone ever take any of the diving excursions offered by Carnival? What about specifically in Cozumel? We are crusing 3/31 on the Holiday and just wanted some feed back. How much? What dive sites? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
We are sailing on the Paradise in June and have already booked our excursions through other means to get away from the crowd. We have not done any diving on Carnival but have on NCL and found the operators to be pretty good, although you feel like one of a crowd going that way. The price is similar, but the fact that you can book 4 people and get a boat to yourself with crew is worth much more.
I'm leaving for Cozumel aboard the Pride 3/15. Will advise on the diving. We have done excursions before through Carnival. Good service, though a lot of divers-- all different levels. Still, very fun! We are taking the excursion out of Cozumel, but booked through SeaSports in Belize independent of the cruise line. We can chat upon my return. Wish me warm weather, lite currents, and a multitude of sea creatures to view please!
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Re: Scuba Diving Excursions
We'll be taking our first Carnival cruise in August. Typically obsessive, I must have called Carnival about a zillion times re: details. (800)CARNIVAL on one of those many calls, an agent on the other end faxed me the entire shore excursion selection for both the Cozumel/Cayman route and the Nassau/Freeport trips, both of which included a scuba option. If I'm not mistaken, they ran approx. $95pp.
You should feel free to call Carnival and ask about this. For some reason, they won't email the information. But I'm sure they'd be willing to fax it or simply tell you, by phone.
