My bar bill is about $200 ,including a bottle of wine here and there for two people on a seven day . I have seen individuals (one person) with $1500 bar bills. They usually have a great cruise and no gripes. They also usually have the most new friends.
Only you know what you drink, figure it out roughly at $ 5. to $ 6 per drink, $4 or so per beer and whatever kind of wine you might drink prices are roughly what you would pay in a local good restaurant at home. Multiply it all out and youv'e got a rough idea of a bar bill.
Most importantly, remeber you are on vacation.
On the Victory last year, ours was about $800, however, that did include a couple excursions and 2 formal pictures. We recently went on an 8 day cruise and our tab was over $1200, again with excursions and 2 formal pics.
I think an important factor is how much time are you going to spend in ports versus on the ship. We had 3 ports of call on our 7 day Victory cruise. When we got the bar tab, we hardly had any charges for those 3 days. The other 4 days, we managed to ring up $800 with only drinks. We did buy drinks for some other guests and 2 bottles of wine at dinner. Our excursions we did on our own and spent less than $200 among all the ports. The ports were so cheap for everything. But it depends on what ports. The only thing additional was the gratuities and some cash spent at the airports.
This site has links for the Victory and a wine list, but only the bottled wine.
