Default Corkage fee question

On Carnival, is the corkage fee $8 AND is that a one time charge or repeated for each bottle? Thanks for your help.

According to the Carnival 2002 book, it is $10 per bottle (pg 126 under liquor policy).

Hi Rick,
Yes, its for 1 bottle, but if you say only finish half one night, they will store it for you until the next night or when ever you want the rest :-)

I've found just slipping the waiter $10 or $15 the first night with the first bottle seems to make the corkage fee for the week disappear.

Thanks Kuki. Kuki, any idea why different cruise lines charge different corkage fee's? On the Galaxy, it was a 6 dollar fee put on our card.....very nice guy...only charged us one 6 dollar fee even though we had 3 bottles during the cruise.

Likely the same reason they have different prices on most everything.

Ahh good point Captain Tom, if I remember correctly.....on the Galaxy, the wine steward asked if our bottle was complementary ......I gathered there would be no corkage fee in that case.
