My husband and two sons 10 and 14 are looking for a cruise for next Christmas holidays. We did a West Caribbean last year and are going to Alaska in August. We need a great deal because this is getting expensive and we need airfare from Toronto Canada as well. What do you suggest???
Re: Family cruise for next Christmas - your ideas.
Hello. I went on a southern caribbean cruise during Christmas week several years ago. The weather was wonderful, but the ocean was cooler and rougher than in summer. The water in Barbados was a little warmer as we were farther south. It was a lot of fun because the ship (we went on Norwegian) was wonderfully decorated with Christmas lights and trees.
We arrived in Port on Christmas morning in St. Kitts and there was a native steel drum band dressed like Santa and his elves playing Jingle Bells as we slowly pulled up to the dock. It was fantastic!
I would definitely do the southern caribbean as this itenerary is only available during winter months. You can always do eastern/western any time of year.
