Default Dinner

Hi! I have a question for those that have been on a Carnival Cruise already. Do they offer the same menu in the formal dining area and the alternative dining area? I am traveling on the Elation this July and I'm very confused by some of the information I have recieved.

Also, can I request beforehand to be seated with another family that is traveling with us. If so, how?

Thanx,
Joya

Hi Joya- We did the Elation two years ago and the formal dining room food and the alternative buffet are different meals. The formal dining room is fancy, you choose off a menu (3-4 different selections each night), and are served. The alternative dining room is up on the pool deck, buffet style, lots of different choices, (fish, hamburgers, pasta - that kind of stuff) and it's not the same foods that they are serving in the formal dining room on the same evening. We also traveled with another family and requested seating with them from our TA. We did double check when we got on the ship that it happened. There was no problems. Enjoy. Julie

To make sure you're seated with friends or family simply make certain your TAs cross reference you booking #s with each others.
You can do this even if you're both not using the same TA.
