Montego Bay or Ocho Rios
I've recently booked the Conquest for the first week in March. Carnival's brochure shows that one of the ports is Ocho Rios but my itinerary from my TA shows Montego Bay. Anyone know for sure which port it is? I'm really interested in seeing the falls in Ocho Rios, so if the port is Montego Bay, is that still possible?
Also, which Sting Ray tour should I take in the Cayman Islands?
Re: Montego Bay or Ocho Rios
They have changed the port of call back to Montego Bay. Originally, they didn't believe that the Port at Mo-bay could handle the Conquest, but apparently that has changed.
The good news.... you can go to Dunn River Falls as an excursion from either port. The bad news.... it was definately closer to Ocho Rios. The good news...... welll... no good news... you still have to ride in an excursion bus at breakneck speeds. The good news, you will find the Jamaicans to be a very wonderful people. The bad news.... they truly depend on the little tips they can scrounge of the vacationers, please make sure to carry spare dollar bills.
The best Sting Ray Tour? in our humble opinion.... contact Captain Marvins directly on their website. Their storefront is within waling distance of the pier, the drive you to their boat and get you there very quickly, stand off from the crowd a little and after your done, take you a little farther along the reefs for some spectacular snorkeling. As cheap if not cheaper than the Carnival package, and less of a cattle car approach.

Hi I also am taking the Conquest this Decemeber. I receieved a letter from Carnival advising me that the itinerary had changed from Ocho to Montego. My TA said that Dunns River is still an excursion but let me tell you its going to be one heck of a scary bus ride to get there... whewww been there done that! Whatever you do have a great time!
