Default S&S backup

I am so confused after reading this link. As you can tell this is our first cruise. So is it best to back you S&S with your credit card, now if you bring travels checks then do you have to cash them in at the end of the trip to pay your S&S if you don't want it to stay on your credit card, or do you just pay by travelers checks.

Hi Helene,
I would think they would gladly accept travelers checks for the payment, but its also very easy to just let the charges go on your credit card and just pay that when you get the bill? You can also set up your S&S with cash and when that runs out/low, they will ask you for more. Either way you should always keep track of all your shipboard purchases and check the bill at the end of the cruise.
