Spirit French Door Cabins ?
Has anyone had this type of cabin
or seen one? How obstructed is the view? I got a great price and could not say no! Thanks, Dave |
Re: Spirit French Door Cabins ?
The view is completely obstructed in most of these types of cabins. The french doors are very heavy and we could not figure out a way to keep them open to get any fresh air. I wish I had just saved a little more money and got an inside room or spent a little more and got a window! The room itself was very nice.

Re: Re: Spirit French Door Cabins ?
It's nice to be able to open the door, and our friend who had one just propped it open with luggage, since all of Carnival Spirit's doors (even the bathroom doors in public restrooms) take a weight-lifter to open! But it is pretty obstructed. Off to the left, a small narrow crack between lifeboats, and he may have been lucky.

Re: Spirit French Door Cabins ?
the french doors were awesome----especially when the air conditioners broke. I have to say that our trip on the spirit was not a good one, but I have to admit the rooms with the french doors are beautiful and spacious.

Thank you all so much for the info.
I always travel with a bungee cord to hold the balcony doors open. Thanks! Dave |

Re: Spirit French Door Cabins ?
We were on the Spirit last year and everytime we propped the balcony door the A/c turned off. We thought the unit was programmed that way. If we closed the door the A/C kicked back on. Did anyone else find that?
