You have to have your Carnival booking number to do this. Here's the deal.
Go to the Carnival website, and choose Gifts and Services. Select an item as though you're going to buy it. It then asks for the booking number and the cabin number. You enter the booking number (which you know is correct), and then your cabin number. Your names and cruise info will then pop up to confirm that's who should get the gift. You can then just exit the screen.
People who purchase a guarantee room are doing this, but just entering various cabin numbers until they see which one they are assigned to. Doesn't work until closer to the cruise. Can take hours, so only you can decide if this will work for you. I tried it just for fun recently, spent about an hour three days in a row, the third day I found it -- have been upgraded from a 6A to Cat 11, really cool a balcony with an obstructed view. Regret spending the time doing it, but have to say DH and I are thrilled, knowing about the upgrade this early. Has added excitement to our last 30 days before cruising!
cruisea has so much info about all bookings, costs, trips etc. You might call Heidi at 1-800-545-8118 or firstname.lastname@example.org and she has given us so much info and saved us alot on our cruises. She just got us $100.04 of our next cruise on the Pride on Oct 12, 2003. I shooped arould and this is the best service and prices for us.
