Default first-timer

Anyone has any suggestions for a first timer travelling alone. Decided to spend my birthday on board carnival leaving 9/29 to the bahamas. Any tips will be welcomed.

Thanks in advance

Don't be shy !

There will probably be a singles party early in the cruise. Go !!!

Ask to be seated at a large table. Often several singles will be seated at the same table.

And check our our singles area here on CruiseMates.

Hi First Timer,
Yes, to Pam's advise, be sure to attend the first "singles" get together and get out there on deck and any others place where cruisers gather during the day/evenings. I know you will meet lots of intersting cruisers from all over.

You may want to read through the section here for "first cruisers", great tips and info:

Hopefully you will be seated at a large table for dinner and get to know and enjoy your tablemates, have a great time and do let us know when you return how it all went, OK?

The other thing you will find is that people are a lot more open to talking with strangers on cruises, so say hello or strike up a conversation
