Default Miami Port and Late flight out

We are cruising on the Triumph from Miami in Feb. Want to know what if anything is at the Miami port to purchase (ie liquour, wine soda) Also, does anyone know how far the airport is from the port. When we return from the cruise our flight does not leave until 7pm. What are the possiblities to keep busy that day without too much inconvenience and lugging baggage around.

Thanks,

Merry

Carnival has some excursions available for people on late flights. they will be available on the ship for purchase. I know there is one to South Beach and one to the Everglades. I don't remember the others. We took the Everglades trip and it was interesting, seeing the alligators and riding the airboat. By taking one of these excursions your luggage is loaded into the bus and stays with you until they drop you off to the airport. Still, you will have quite a wait with a 7pm flight. There are bars at the airport. The airport is only about a 15 minute taxi ride from the port.

Thanks Tony. I had no idea where the port was relative to the airport. Do you know if there is any stores, conveniences at the port when we arrive to pick up some last minute items? If not, we will ask the cab to stop on the way. What was the approx cost of the Everglade trip?

The port does not have any convience stores so buy what you need before getting there. If you don't take a tour you might want to go stright to the airport and store your bags there for a small fee that way you won't have to drag the bags all over town. From the port to the airport it's only about a 15 drive. Have fun in the sunshine state.
