Default CARNIVAL ELATION INCIDENT

With reference to the incident on the Elation voyage of Sept. 8, there was a
female guest who died during this voyage. Per standard practice, Carnival
Cruise Lines contacted the FBI. The FBI dispatched federal agents from S.
Calif to meet the ship in Mexico. The agents boarded the vessel and
initiated an investigation in tandem with Carnival. No evidence of foul
play was found and the incident was determined to have been an accident with
the guest apparently having fallen from one deck to another, two levels
below.

And you believe everything the FBI and a very publicity-minded corporation says without question? I will wait til more information is available before I make my personal determination on who I believe - but there are a whole lot of questions that need to be answered, imho.

Sure, Lisa--The F.B.I. and Carnival have this massive cover-up underway.

Why are you all suspicious, couldn't it just be a accident! People do fall on land too! Just cause it was on a ship that makes you all think there was foul play.

Read the original thread.

And BTW - the FBI has not always been truthful (remember the cases of innocent men being in prison for 30+ years for crimes they did not commit, just so the FBI could maintain their "cover" in certain operations - if I remember correctly that happened in the Boston area, and there are a lot of other instances.)

I'm not saying it wasn't an accident, but until some questions are answered, like why were some of her belonging scattered around the deck far from where she supposedly fell over a railing that was chest high at least, I'm not going to just blindly go along with that "conclusion." If nothing else, I think her family and friends deserve to know what evidence the FBI has and how it reached that conclusion - if it were my family member or friend, I would not stand still or stay quiet until I was satisfied with the answers.

And. if you don't think Carnival (or any other cruise line for that matter) is not very mindful of publicity, think again!!!

Hey people are ignorant and dishonest. You think that maybe someone saw her belongings and just picked it up! Now there's a concept. I have seen lots of drunks on those ships and I always thought it would not take much for someone to fall overboard or over a deck or how about the atrium. Yes we fall on land so why not a ship? I fell in Cozumel and seriously sprained my ankle, I also passed out twice from heat exhaustion. I was in the ship hospital and the doctor told us all kinds of stories of mishap and deaths on the ship. Sorry but lighten up folks beside what does it matter to you if it was murder or not, a person died on a cruise, that's it!

People, people --- just to let you know - one of her co-works is a cruise enthusiast who reads cruise message boards, and has posted to one. I really don't think referring to someone who has died as a "DRUNK" without conclusive knowledge of that fact is appropriate. What if that had been your mom, sister, etc? Good heavens, we're a presumptive, judgmental bunch.

Then the conspiracy fanatics should not be claiming that there was a murder and that Carnival and the FBI were covering it up, should they?

Carnival has spoken on the matter. They have much more to lose being caught in a publicized lie that telling the truth even if a murder did happen.

Remember a cruise ship is like any other community, S--T HAPPENS.
