We are sailing on Oct 14, Imagination. When I saw a price drop, I called the TA and was told that Carnival can not adjust the price but will issue $100 shipboard credit. My question is what can you use the credit for? Drinks, spa, casino, shore tours? And how will I get the credit, when I check in? will they put it on my sign and sail card? Thanks,
MSP........You can use the credit for anything you want on the ship. The credit will be put on your sail and sign card. Remember that while aboard ship, you use your sail and sign for everything except the casino.....Actually you can get money on your sail and sign card in the casino if you so choose. The credit SHOULD be on your sail and sign card account upon boarding BUT I suggest you have your TA provide you with some form of paperwork showing that you rate the credit. ....just in case it isnt on your account. That way you can present the documentation and make it easier to get it if it was'nt there when you board.
I received a 'credit' from my last cruise before the one I took on 9/5, and I took the info (paper credit from CCL) to the Purser's office on the first morning at sea (They're really, really too busy on the day of sailing), and they gave me a printout of my Sign & Sail charges, of which the first posting showed a $100 credit. Therefore: Everything I charged was simply deducted, and when I got my final bill the last evening of the cruise, I owed only about $5.
I would suggest that you go to the Purser's office early on Day One at Sea, and ask them for a printout of your S&S account.
Did you guys book directly through Carnival?
Should I make a call to my TA, or will this credit be automatically issued ?
I am really interested in some shipboard credit.
Thanks- this web site is going to help my first cruise experience to be successful. Anyone on the Pride , Oct.26, 2002 Western Carribean ? I have not seen this date posted as much. I hope you guys aren't psychic and foresee a major storm !
