We are going on Imagination on Oct 14 with stop overs at Belize City and Key West. Any suggestions on what kind of shore tours we should take (either Carnival's tours or on our own)? We are bringing our 7 year old son. Thanks,
We just got back from being on the Pride. Those are two of our four ports that we stopped at. In Belize, we took the Rio Wallace/Altun Ha excursion. It was nice, but would have also been nice to do the cave tubing. But would be hard for a 70 yr. old cuz of the amt. of walking. But our excursion would probably be nice. Not too much. You'll take a riverboat trip down the river...will prob. see much wildlife. Then you'll have a wonderful lunch by the river. Then board some buses and see the Mayan ruins. Not too much walking. But it was VERy hot and humid. So that's why we were thinking cave tubing would be real nice. They have the Altun Ha and city tour. (not much city that's appealing to look at) They have a baboon sanctuary and city tour...just a city tour...biking in Belize..and zoo and city tour....the cave tubing you have to be 16 yrs. old though. You DON'T want to do anything alone here. Pick an excursion through the ship. It's a tendered port. They'll come and pick you up. Where they bring you to, there's a little "shopping" area that's new that you can get a few things..not much here.
Key West...was also VERY hot and humid. So will be much nicer when you go. (hopefully) We just walked around. Wish we had done something else like the trolley. YOu can get off and on anytime from what I heard. They have the Catamaran sail and snorkel tour...glass bottom boat...nature kayak tour..historical trolley tour...bike tour..key west cup regatta...and some golfing. We wished we had done something like the sail and snorkel just to be in the water. There's a lighthouse that you can climb that's across the street from the Hemmingway house. Great pics. and views from there!
