Default Do you have to clear custom when stop at foreign ports for s

We are first time cruisers. Just wondering what process we have to go through when the ship docks at a foreign port like Belize City?

No, you will not have to clear customs until you return to your home port. Now is for some reason you actually depart the ship permanantly then I am sure you would have to go through immigration and customs but as you are a visitor onboard a ship you have to do nothing but sign in and out of the ship by using your sail & sign card.

You have to clear customs at the first US port after returning from a foreign island. Usually that's your departure port, but we went to Bahamas and then San Juan. Bahamas is foreign, San Juan is US, so everyone had to clear customs in San Juan before the boat was cleared by customs for us to enter San Juan.

The others have answered your question, but please be sure you have your photo i.d. (drivers license) as well as your Sign & Sail card with you while off the ship. The cruise director will remind you of this.
