Is anyone sailing on the Conquest in March?

Yes we are. There will be 10 of us on March 23 out of NO of course. Myself & DH our daughter & her family and our son and his. We are from La. except for our son from Ala. Also going myself & hubby 11/21/02

Anyone sailing on the Conquest on Mar. 2, beware that this is the big Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans. It will be next to impossible to find a hotel room. We sail on the 16h of March.

We are sailing the week before you. We leave on March 9. If you time it right you can have my parking space on the pier.

March 30th trip....

My husband and I along with our 10 y/o son will be on the MARCH 30 sailing. We are from the Gulfport/Biloxi area and I keep hearing that there is a huge possibilty that the ship will reside here in our port due to the river rising during those months. It can't get under that power line and it's another year before they bury those lines. Gee a 5 minute ride to the boat. Think I'll sleep in that morning.....(NOT) We are only an hour from N.O. so I hope it won't mess most of you up too much. I'm sure Carnival will take care of things for you.

I have also heard it will stay in new Orleans. It can clear the lines even in the high river stage but bad weather may cause it to be a problem so they will abort to Gulfport if that happens on for that Cruise. There have also been concerns that it will not be able to menuver (however you spell it) in the gulport port.
