Default Oceanview room size...

I was looking over some deck plans on the Destiny class ships and I was looking at the corner rooms on the back left and right side of the boat. These rooms appear to be larger. Does anyone know if these types of rooms and the L-shaped rooms are larger? They appear to be so in the illustrations.

Hi DecBride,

I was on the Triumph in a corner room and yes they are larger and they were also handicapped rooms. The doors were wider, shower bigger and room wider to accomodate a wheelchair. We got this as an upgrade when embarking. It was nice to have a large room like that.

And, DecBride, if you will look down at the lower level, on the Main deck you will see rooms 2444 and 2445. They are in category 1a because they have upper and lower berths. But if you don't mind that (you can also use the hideabed if you don't want to climb up to the upper bed) you are getting an outside cabin with TWO windows, a large room, and you are paying for the least expensive cabin on the ship! I don't understand how Carnival let this one slip by. There is actually enough room for them to put two beds side by side in the usual configuration. We have stayed in those rooms before and will be doing it again on the Victory on Jan 19!

Good tip Garswat! I'll keep that in mind.

Thank you! I now know what to request as a room assignment with our TA. We were thinking of doing a gurantee again, but I don't want to pass this up if it is available.
